Background music now appears on the timeline as a draggable amber pill
AetherCut v1.6.7 shipped on with 4 updates to the private, browser-based video editor. Everything here is already included in the latest version. AetherCut edits on your own device, so your footage never has to be uploaded to a server.
What's new in v1.6.7
- Add background music in the Audio panel and a 'MUSIC' track row appears on the timeline directly below the Voiceover (VO) row — same drag-to-reposition + hover-× to remove pattern
- Pill width auto-sizes to the music's actual duration (decoded via HTMLAudioElement metadata on import)
- Voiceover (violet) and Background Music (amber) now have visually distinct pills so they're never confused
- Direct response to a tester suggestion — thanks for the catch
