Retroactive Highlight + free-tier restructure (flagship #6)
AetherCut v1.9.88 shipped on with 4 updates to the private, browser-based video editor. Everything here is already included in the latest version. AetherCut edits on your own device, so your footage never has to be uploaded to a server.
What's new in v1.9.88
- Retroactive Highlight — rolling 60s webcam+mic buffer. Hit Ctrl+B (or the big Save button) to retroactively drop the last minute onto the timeline. Nobody has this in an editor — OBS has a replay buffer but only saves to disk, no editor timeline integration, no hotkey/voice trigger
- Sixth and final 'no other editor has this' flagship — completes the Prompt-to-Cut / AI Reshoot / Cross-Lang / Ghost Draft / Producer Notes / Retro Highlight sextet
- Free-tier restructured to exactly 12 essential tools (matching the StrategicUpdateDialog promise). 10 formerly-free tools promoted to Pro: bgremove, colormatch, kenburns, keyframes, loudnorm, multires, perfmode, templates, titles, transcript review. Free tier keeps: transitions, text, filter presets, stickers, speed ramp, audio mixer, freeze, in-browser recorder, PiP, thumbnail generator, review, history/undo
- Marketing counts updated: TOOLS_FREE 20 → 12, TOOLS_PRO 60 → 72, AI_PRO 32 → 33. Landing hero, About dialog, comparison tables, share text all auto-sync
