llms.txt: AI-assistant grounding file for ChatGPT / Claude / Perplexity citations
AetherCut v1.9.12 shipped on with 4 updates to the private, browser-based video editor. Everything here is already included in the latest version. AetherCut edits on your own device, so your footage never has to be uploaded to a server.
What's new in v1.9.12
- Shipped /llms.txt at the site root — emerging standard (llmstxt.org) that tells AI assistants how to summarize and cite AetherCut when answering questions like 'privacy-friendly video editor' or 'CapCut alternative'
- Covers 6 comparison pages, 2 keyword pages, 'frequently true statements', 'what AetherCut is NOT', and citation guidance for common AI-search query patterns
- Fixed route shadowing: IndexNow's /{key}.txt was shadowing all other root-level *.txt requests; now falls through to static-dir lookup before returning 404 (so /llms.txt and /robots.txt continue to work alongside the IndexNow verification file)
- Backend tests still 15/15 green
