What's new in v1.7.52
- New /desktop landing page captures email signups for a proposed native Tauri build (10× faster export via hardware encoders, no tab throttling, real filesystem, optional on-device AI)
- HONEST progress bar: the build only starts when the list crosses 500 confirmed signups within 60 days, or when ≥50 people pre-order at $49. No fake numbers, no "join 10,000 creators" lie — the page shows the real count, live, updating every 30 seconds
- Privacy-first: backend explicitly does NOT store IP addresses (only email + optional use-case text). Honeypot field blocks bots. Rate-limited 5 signups/min per IP. Idempotent — duplicate emails return existing position, not an error
- Surfaced on the landing page via a new 'Desktop' card in the "Where AetherCut runs" section, alongside Browser + Android. The card is honest about being in Beta and links straight to the waitlist
