Viral Kit thumbnails are now 100% watermark-free by default

AetherCut v1.6.3 shipped on Feb 2026 with 3 updates to the private, browser-based video editor. Everything here is already included in the latest version. AetherCut edits on your own device, so your footage never has to be uploaded to a server.

What's new in v1.6.3

• The 'AETHERCUT.APP' credit that used to appear on Hook-variant thumbnails is now opt-in via a checkbox in the Viral Kit dialog — off by default
• Toggle on if you want to give us a free shoutout when your thumbnail goes viral; otherwise your thumbnails are 100% your brand
• Reaffirms the policy: AetherCut never adds a watermark to your video exports OR your social thumbnails without your explicit say-so
