Dark splash on the way out to Google sign-in
AetherCut v1.6.1 shipped on with 3 updates to the private, browser-based video editor. Everything here is already included in the latest version. AetherCut edits on your own device, so your footage never has to be uploaded to a server.
What's new in v1.6.1
- Clicking 'Get Started with Google' now paints a dark AetherCut-branded splash ('Redirecting to Google sign-in…') for the brief moment before navigation completes — no more white flash leaving the app
- Splash uses the same zinc-950 + cyan accent palette as the rest of the editor for visual continuity
- The destination Emergent auth page is still light-themed (it's outside our codebase) — feature request filed with Emergent to add a dark mode option
Try it
AetherCut is free to start and runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, with no install and no account needed to edit. Open the editor or see how it works.
