Export pipeline overhaul — black-screen bug fixed
AetherCut v1.4.8 shipped on with 5 updates to the private, browser-based video editor. Everything here is already included in the latest version. AetherCut edits on your own device, so your footage never has to be uploaded to a server.
What's new in v1.4.8
- Fixed: exported videos uploaded to YouTube were a black screen — the canvas wasn't being painted during recording
- WebCodecs export path re-wired to receive the full scene graph (clips, transitions, overlays, captions) — faster-than-real-time exports back
- MediaRecorder fallback now drives real playback so it captures actual frames; defensive fallback if scene-graph data is missing
- Backend: YouTube upload errors now surface specific reasons (no channel, quota exceeded, etc.) instead of false-success toasts
- About dialog version label now reads dynamically from the changelog — no more rotting hardcoded numbers
